The monthly 50/50 and auction are popular and beneficial to our balance.
MQG Chairman Diane C
Dues due to the MOMA guild have been moved to October of the year so that we can have enough money in the account to pay our owed membership dues by Jan of the following year.
Amount will be $40 for current members and $50 for new members.
Annual participation in the making of a quilt for charity to be submitted to the annual Mama guild conference contest is in process. Members have brought in their most recent square requests. The guild will gather at the October 14 monthly Sew In to begin sewing together the front and back of the JSMQG Shore Bird quilt.
There will also be a 24×24” mini quilt challenge as well as 2nd annual swap.
Programs Chairman Deb H
The 2017 ½ square Triangle project is going quite well. There will be no scheduled program for this month. June showed her ½ square project in Show N Tell. The October topic will be done by Michelle.
Sew Ins Chairman Brandy B
Brandy was asked to check on the status of being able to use the PAY PAL account for registration for said Sew Ins. This allows us to have a better idea of how many people will attend as well as to enable us to pay the church for the use of the room.
Members who participated in the September Sew In hosted by Eileen were happy to show everyone their completed Sew Demented Sew Together Bag. Eileen did a great job and participants enjoyed the day and look forward to another.
Social Networking Chairman Shannon S
Shannon happily reported that new people are visiting the guild’s Instagram page as well as actively tagging.
The use of this media however was not successful for our attempt at auctioning off the Mini Quilts.

Phyllis inquired as to well or not the guild has been successful in getting insurance. There was no answer to this inquiry.
